Audiobook proofing for the Mac

The proofer that doesn’t take your word for it.

Super Proof listens to your narration with the manuscript open beside it, and marks every place the two part ways. The misreads, the skipped lines, the retake you swore you cut.

Made by a working audiobook narrator. 14 days free. Requires macOS 26.

Super Proof proofing a chapter of Alice in Wonderland, with each misread, deletion and outtake listed beside the manuscript

Leave the red light on.

Flub a line? Keep recording and read it again. Super Proof marks the flubbed take as an outtake for your editor to cut, separate from your misreads.

Report

Notes your editor can actually use.

Every pickup, with its timecode and the line around it. One version for you, one for your editor. Print it or save a PDF.

A pickup report for Alice in Wonderland: each misread with its timecode, the surrounding text, and what it sounded like

Pickups

Every pickup, cued up.

Work through what you flagged one line at a time, with the passage in context and the original take a click away. Then export markers to your editor, and each pickup lands on the timeline where it happened.

Questions

Fair questions.

Does it replace a human proofer?
For a lot of self-proofing narrators, it replaces the second and third listen. A good proofer still hears things no software will, like a character’s voice drifting by chapter twelve. Super Proof gets you to that conversation with the mechanical stuff already handled.
What do I need?
A Mac running macOS 26. The optional enhanced recognition, which we recommend, needs Apple silicon.
What manuscripts does it read?
PDF, Word, EPUB, Markdown and plain text. Add your manuscript and recordings, and Super Proof finds where each recording belongs.
What happens if I stop paying?
You can still open every project, play it back, read your findings and review history, and export reports and DAW markers. Proofing new recordings and editing need a subscription. Your finished work never does.

Go back to the booth. We’ll keep the notes.
