Privacy Policy

Super Proof is a Mac app for proofing audiobook narration. It is made by Craig Tollifson ("we"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app and this website.
The short version
Your manuscripts and recordings are processed on your Mac. We do not upload them, we do not collect analytics, and the app has no account for you to create. We cannot see your projects.
Your manuscripts and recordings
Speech recognition, alignment, and review all run locally on your computer. Manuscripts, audio, findings, notes, and exports stay in files you choose and control. They are never sent to us, never used to train AI models, and never used to imitate your voice.
Speech recognition downloads
Super Proof uses Apple's on-device speech recognition. macOS may download speech language assets from Apple the first time you use it; Apple's privacy policy applies to that download.
If you choose to install the optional enhanced recognition model, macOS downloads it from Apple as part of the app, under the same Apple privacy policy. The download contains nothing about you or your projects. After installation, recognition runs offline.
Purchases
Subscriptions are sold and managed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your name, payment details, or Apple Account information. The app checks your subscription status with Apple using StoreKit. See Apple's privacy policy.
Analytics and tracking
The app contains no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking software. This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes standard request information needed to deliver and protect the site under Cloudflare's privacy policy.
When you contact us
If you email us for support, we receive whatever you choose to send, such as your email address, your message, and any files you attach. We use it only to answer you and to fix problems, and we do not sell or share it. Ask us any time to delete your correspondence.
Children
Super Proof is a professional tool and is not directed to children.
Changes
If we add a feature that changes what leaves your Mac, we will update this policy before releasing it and change the effective date above.
